1. Who we are

This policy explains how we handle your personal information. It applies to our website, event preregistration pages, ticketing, fan communication and other services under the I AM HARDSTYLE and Brennan Heart brands.

IAMHARDSTYLE Events B.V., Sutton 2, 7327 AB Apeldoorn, The Netherlands, is the data controller. Questions or requests? Email privacy@iamhardstyle.com.

Brennan Heart is the founder and owner of I AM HARDSTYLE. We manage fan communication for both brands together, from one system. Emails sent under the Brennan Heart name, including from brennanheart.com addresses, therefore fall under this policy.

Our online store at store.iamhardstyle.com is run by IAMHARDSTYLE Merchandise B.V., Sutton 2, 7327 AB Apeldoorn, The Netherlands. That company is the data controller for your purchases and has its own privacy policy. It shares order information with us, as described in section 2.

2. What we collect

  • Registration and subscription details: your name, email address, phone number, address, city and country, when you create a profile or subscribe.
  • Event preregistration details: your first and last name, email address, mobile number, city and country.
  • Ticket and event information: tickets you bought and events you attended, as supplied by ticketing sources and partners.
  • Store orders: from IAMHARDSTYLE Merchandise B.V. we receive your name, email address, delivery address, phone number if you gave one, the products you bought, order amounts, discount codes, and the payment, delivery, cancellation and refund status. We do not receive your payment card details.
  • Email interaction: whether an email was delivered, and whether you opened it or clicked a link.
  • Consent records: your consent status, its source, date and IP address, and any changes to it.
  • Technical information: your IP address, approximate location, browser, operating system and user agent, and how you use our website.
  • Communications: what you send us, including its metadata.

If you give us someone else’s personal information, you must first have their permission.

3. How we use your information

  • to run our website, services and business;
  • to organise events and send event information, including ticket sales, updates, lineups and pre-sale access for events you preregistered for;
  • to send our newsletter and marketing emails for I AM HARDSTYLE and Brennan Heart, if you gave consent;
  • to send text messages, if you gave consent for that channel;
  • to send service messages that are not marketing, such as practical information about your ticket;
  • to link your orders, tickets and activity to one fan profile;
  • to understand what fans buy and how they respond to our emails, and to divide our audience into groups so our communication is more relevant;
  • to answer questions and complaints;
  • to keep our services secure and prevent fraud;
  • to provide statistics to third parties, from which you cannot be identified.

New marketing subscriptions use double opt-in: you only receive marketing after you confirm through the link we send you. Ticking a marketing box when you order in our store does not subscribe you. If you do not respond to a consent request, nothing changes.

There is one consent for both brands. Unsubscribing, through the link in any email or through our store, applies to I AM HARDSTYLE and Brennan Heart.

We will never give your personal information to a third party for its own direct marketing without your express consent.

  • Consent: marketing, preregistration, and sharing data with event partners. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Contract: ticket purchases and event obligations.
  • Legitimate interests: security, fraud prevention, analytics, internal administration, event organisation, keeping one customer overview, and analysing purchases and email engagement. This applies only where your rights do not override those interests.
  • Legal obligation: where the law requires us to process your data.

5. Who receives your information

  • Service providers that run our systems on our instructions: Amazon Web Services (email delivery), Hostinger (hosting), CM.com (customer platform and email), Shopify (online store) and Google (analytics).
  • Group companies, including IAMHARDSTYLE Merchandise B.V., as far as needed for the purposes in this policy.
  • Event partners, such as co-promoters, venue operators and local production companies. They receive only what they need, and we tell you which partners are involved when you preregister or buy a ticket.
  • Advisers, insurers and authorities, where needed, or where the law, legal proceedings or the protection of our rights requires it.
  • A buyer of our business or assets, if that situation arises.

6. International transfers

Some service providers may process your information outside the European Economic Area. We only allow this to a country with an EU adequacy decision, or under safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

7. How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy.

  • Fan profile and history (including preregistrations, tickets, orders and email history): for as long as your profile is in use, unless you ask us to delete it. We are setting a fixed retention period and will publish it here once it applies.
  • Block list: if you unsubscribe, or an email bounces or is reported as spam, we keep your address, the reason and the date, even after your profile is deleted. Otherwise we could email you again by mistake.
  • Technical copies of incoming store messages: 14 days.
  • Website analytics: up to 26 months.
  • Accounting records stay in the store administration for as long as the law requires.

We may keep information longer where the law requires it, or where we need it for legal claims.

8. Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including password-protected and firewalled servers, and encryption for delivery addresses. No internet transfer is completely secure.

9. Cookies

We use cookies, small files stored by your browser:

  • Essential cookies for core functions, sessions and security;
  • Analytics cookies to analyse use of our website, including Google Analytics;
  • Marketing cookies for personalised advertising and to measure campaigns.

You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser, but parts of the website may then work less well.

10. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your information, to restrict processing, to data portability, to object, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can always object to direct marketing and to being placed in audience groups.

Email privacy@iamhardstyle.com to use these rights. We respond within one month and may ask for proof of identity.

You can also complain to a supervisory authority. In the Netherlands, that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

11. Automated decisions

We do not use automated decisions or profiling with legal or similarly significant effects for you. We do use your orders, event activity and email engagement to place you in audience groups for our communication.

12. Other websites

Our website links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

13. Changes

We may update this policy by publishing a new version here. We may tell you about significant changes by email or on our website.
